Yes, the name of a private limited company can be changed after incorporation. After deciding on the new company name, an application for a Change in Company Information will need to be submitted to the ACRA for approval of the proposed company name. If ACRA approves the proposed new company name, a special resolution needs to be passed to change the company name. The company name change will be updated after the resolution has been filed with ACRA. A notice of incorporation under the company’s new name will be issued and the change of name will be effective upon the issue of that notice.
